Tegrity Playback and Test Proctor Issues Reported
Since the update of Tegrity last week we have been apprised of several issues related to playback of Tegrity Recordings by students, and an issue relating to the Tegrity Test Proctor Service. After researching each and every report while working with Tegrity, we have developed three solutions and have posted them to the eLearning FAQ site.
- Tegrity Playback in all browsers has been reported and this issue relates to the new playback engine Tegrity now uses. The solution is to clear browser history and browser cache. Here is a link to the FAQ we have prepared.http://elearning.wallacestate.edu/faq/content/45/172/en/how-do-i-clear-the-history-and-cache-in-my-web-browser.html
- Tegrity Playback within Mozilla Firefox and receiving an error message that relates to “Unhandled exception in PlayerMain: oSessionXmIParser is not defined.”
The solution is to give the Tegrity player plugin permission to Always Activate. Here is a link to the FAQ we have prepared.http://elearning.wallacestate.edu/faq/content/5/171/en/i-am-having-issues-with-tegrity-recordings-not-playing-using-mozilla-firefox-30.html
- In Mozilla Firefox 30, Tegrity keeps prompting students to re-install the Tegrity recorder software while taking an exam/test using the proctor service. Here is a link to the FAQ we have prepared which also features a video that walks the student through the process.http://elearning.wallacestate.edu/faq/content/29/170/en/tegrity-keeps-prompting-me-to-re_install-when-i-am-taking-a-proctored-exam-in-mozilla-firefox.html
